Factodex (factodex.com) is a global index of manufacturers, operated by ENGONE Co., Ltd., Republic of Korea (business registration no. 119-86-44010) ("Factodex", "we"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how you can control it.
1. Information we collect
- Buyer inquiries — name, company, business email, country, phone (optional), the product or requirement you describe, and the screening answers on the inquiry form (company type, intended use, expected quantity).
- Manufacturer applications — contact person, company details, and the documents you choose to send (business registration, certificates, catalogs, factory photos).
- Visit information — the page an inquiry was sent from, the referring site and campaign tag, and standard technical data (browser, device, approximate location, cookies) collected through our hosting platform.
2. Why we use it
- To answer your inquiry and, with your request, pass it to the manufacturer(s) concerned.
- To review manufacturer applications and verify the information shown on profiles.
- To keep the directory accurate and secure, prevent spam and misuse, and understand which pages are useful.
We do not sell personal information and we do not send marketing email without your consent.
3. Sharing
When you send an inquiry about a listed manufacturer, we share the details of that inquiry with that manufacturer so it can respond. Otherwise we share information only with service providers that run the site and our email on our behalf, or where required by law.
4. Service providers and international transfer
Factodex is hosted on Shopify (Canada/United States) and uses Google Workspace (United States) for email. Your information may be stored and processed on their servers outside your country. These providers process data under their own security and data-protection commitments and only on our instructions.
5. How long we keep it
- Inquiries and correspondence: up to 3 years after our last contact with you, unless a longer period is required by law.
- Manufacturer documents: while the profile is listed and for 1 year after it is removed.
6. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop processing it, by emailing info@factodex.com. Manufacturers can ask us to correct or remove a profile at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No online service can be completely secure, so please do not send information you consider highly sensitive through web forms.
8. Children
Factodex is a business directory and is not intended for children under 16.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
