About

StarTool is a Seoul-based manufacturer of solid carbide end mills. Its factory handles the full process in house, from order review and engineering through grinding, inspection and shipment, and it began producing micro end mills and rib-type end mills in 2005.

The catalogue covers end mills for super-hardened and hardened steels, multipurpose HR-coated and economic series, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, graphite and synthetic materials, plus special cutters such as NC drills, T-slot and corner-rounding tools. Sizes run from about Ø0.1 mm micro tools to Ø20 mm.

The company opened an R&D center in 2013, started exporting the same year, holds a patent on end-mill geometry, and works with distributors across Europe, Asia, South America and Australia. It exhibits regularly at EMO, JIMTOF, CIMT, CCMT and SIMTOS.

Carbide End Mills for Super Hardened Steels (up to HRC 68)

Solid carbide ball, square and corner-radius end mills built for die and mould steels hardened up to about HRC 68. The family includes long-reach necked and tapered-neck versions for deep cavities and a 45° helix four-flute for heavier cuts. The full size list per series (1,318 EDP numbers) is published on the maker's site; this table lists every series with its size range.
